This is one of the best multipurpose blankets you can buy:water proof and reflective the uses for this are endless. You can use it as a shelter it both summer or winter situations. In the winter you can turn in shiny side down to keep body head and/or heat from fire from escaping into space. In the summer you can turn it shiny side up and you have an effective means to block incoming sun rays. This should be an essential part of anyone's emergency kit due to its versatility.

i purchased this product because i sleep in a VERY cold bedroom that has no insulation or heat register (; costs a mint to heat) i put this blanket on top of my down comforter ; felt the difference in a matter of minutes, it does what it says it does! reflects body heat ; is of excellent quality..this product is much nicer than an old silver space blanket i was using..this makes sleeping in 48 degrees very comfortable though once it gets above 20 degrees outside it does get a bit too warm..great product ; price!
