I have been traveling, currently still in Europe, for 4 months with these bags. They are awesome! I did not know what to expect when getting them because I did not want something that would rip, burst, or tear and these have been through a lot. I can fit 2 pairs of jeans plus some other leggings in the Large bag no problem and it stays airtight for days! I have another brand of spacebags the Samsonite Space Saver Bags and they are good for smaller items but if you have heavy clothing or a large quantity then these Eagle Creek ones are for you. At first I felt like I needed to be gentle with these bags, both brands, but I find that I can throw these around so to speak more than the Samsonite ones. These are durable bags. If I am able I will post a picture of my suit case, these save SO much room. Anyone traveling for any amount of time will love these! I will never pack without them again. Just don't loose all the yellow bag closers, I have one left lol oops.
For those that need to visualize the size of the large compression sac, it is about the size of a standard twin sized pillow. One side has a zipper where you slot the items in and the zipper is used to make an air tight seal. The opposite side has several small one way valves that you use to roll or squish the air out of the sac. I had to play around with the flaps to get them to all open correctly to push air out, but once they were fiddled with, they didn't give me much fuss.
It should be noted that the zipper can naturally slide all the way off. This can be good or bad, depending how you want to view it. This design ensures you can get an air tight seal, easily. However, it also means you can lose the zipper from falling off. If you have several bags, though, all you have to do is carry one zipper in a secure location and use it for multiple sacs.
The sacs feel very durable and can stand up to punishment (this hasn't been verified as of yet, but I feel very confident about it).
The only thing that disappoints me about this sac is that there isn't an XL version. I was really hoping to use it to size down some comforters and the quality of these sacs seem to set them apart from competitors, however, I will have to look elsewhere for larger sacs.
