MDF top does not hold up to elements of rain more rain or even more rain with snow. I thought this was an aluminum table...but the top is MDF. The legs are aluminum so they won't rust but if you wanted to leave this sit out say all summer long in your yard or at your campsite...don't even go there. If you don't mind keeping it inside a tent or under a covered patio or inside a porch or cabin or house....garage..you get the idea...if conditions are in the lower humidity zones then these should hold up. But MDF is not water proof or fire proof or great when it comes to moisture over time. Glue or no glue incorporated will do the trick. As to the design it gets 4 stars and idea it's definite a great one. But I'd like to be able to buy the same exact item with a full across sturdy aluminum top. That would be light weight too...more expensive...oh yes. I've been trying to figure out how one could attach say your slats from your aluminum roll up camp table to these for more durabilty....to hold say your table top grill year round OUTSIDE in the elements....Coleman does not mention in this description today at least if it is weather proof. Water proof.....humidity proof and so everyone else that complains talks about the heat proof for their grills...I want to know how long can I trust the top to not buckle or warp if I leave it outside for a year. Or even a summer....also how much does the pair weigh so I can figure out if I can tote it around or half of it on my bike trailer....as in peddle bike trailer...I like to head for the woods 10-20 miles up here via my bike for 2-5 days of camping. It's nice to pack light. I see it's 14 pounds to ship..but shipping weight is not always accurate I've found out. So assume the half table weighs around 6-7 pounds give or take. I haven't put one on a scale. Just would be nice to include all information up front. AND POINT OUT THE TOP IS NOT METAL IT IS MDF. Great design though.

Must have when camping. Make sure you lock them in your car or tent when you leave your campsite or they will get stolen!
