I bought this not too long ago and have only recently been able to use it. I cannot believe the power of this slingshot. I was shooting metal ball bearings through a 1/4" sheet of plywood from about 40 feet. It is very well constructed and the price is just ridiculously low for the product. Good job to Barnett on this one. I haven't had a slingshot for about 15 years now but this makes me remember why I loved having one!
The actual slingshot is great... However, you MUST order replacement bands when you order this item and replace the band prior to loosing your first round. Either that or wear a full face shield when using this slingshot because the pouch WILL fail on you after less than 50 releases. It is made of a synthetic leather product, the same fake leather that is used in cheap furniture and cheap car seats that claim to be leather, the fibers in this leather are too short and not omnidirectional which lessens its overall strength. When putting 40 lbs of pull on this material repeatedly it will fail. Replace the band with one that is made of actual organic leather and the pouch will outlast the bands, as it is supposed to. I too am unsure of the benefits of the added weights or stabilizers as they are advertised. Proper stiffness of the wrist and follow through will always ensure accuracy, however, my replacement bands aren't here yet so I cannot continue to compare this slingshot to my old one that it replaced. Because my pouch failed on me in less than one hour. I typically believe that I get what I pay for, and when I pay for the most expensive slingshot on the market, I expect it to be of the highest quality available. If it wasn't for the cheap skate band selection this slingshot would get 5 stars from me. Also the sight is mounted on a plastic mechanism that bends around the fork, and no matter how tight you turn the mounting screw it will always move... Just leave it off and sight by feel and instinct rather than try to rely on this second cheap accessory/attachment.
