Product Description
Portable power! Charge your cell phone, iPod and other small electrical devices more than 10 times while on the go. Perfect for camping, music festivals and emergency use, the Coleman 4D XPS Portable Energy Pack operates on 4 D-cell batteries (not included) -- or use it with the Coleman XPS Rechargeable Battery Pack (sold separately). The Coleman Portable Energy Pack includes standard 3.1mm and USB jacks for all your devices, with a built-in storage compartment for charging cords. On a set of 4 D batteries, the Energy Pack will charge a fully-depleted cell-phone battery about 20 times! The Energy Pack is a must-have for regions where alkaline batteries cost more than the products that use them.

Costumer Reviews
Lots of power available with 4 D batteries, which is why I bought this. However, I find it quirky trying to charge my iPhone. For some reason it has an A-B switch which you have to switch back and forth to get it to charge. Then after it starts charging it abruptly stops?! If I am doing something wrong then the device is too complicated. It should just be On-Off, I mean how complicated should a portable charger be? Well, Im not satisfied, and will try a simple Lithium recharge in the future.
The best part about this portable energy pack is that it can be powered with replaceable four D batteries. The rechargable accessory unit might be useful for a short period, but it is of no use if household power stays out for an extended period, whereas D batteries can be replaced as often as necessary. This unit recharged my iPhone (since I didn't want to rely on my car for several days) but disappointed it will not recharge a laptop.
